This makes it even more likely that US TRANSCOM will be looking at contractorization of part of the overall task:
- Both off-loading USAF-provided "probe-and-drogue" to USN to contractors (via the USN 2020 MAC).
- Consideration of contractorization of some elements of the overall USAF requirement for "flying boom" and dual "flying boom" / "probe-and-drogue".
