This trial has moved extremely quickly. It's good that BDD is analyzing the gamma scintigraphy results in such an expedited fashion.
It is great that they have this very complex technology. If there were no way to do imaging like this to see where the pills release their payload, IPIX would have to do clinical trials by guesswork -- they'd have to gauge whether the drug survived to be released in the colon by whether it worked on patients or not. This way they'll make sure it releases in the right place before they try it in people who actually have the disease, instead of these healthy volunteers.
