If you see opportunities to flip for gains then perhaps that is what you should be involved with, instead of holding long with such a high average making you feel gloomy. If there exists such a great opportunity to flip and make money then surely the realized gains you would make by flipping would quickly overtake the realized losses you would incur by liquidating your long position, right? Perhaps you should have convictions and take action and become a flipper. Good luck to you, like all flip floppers, you are going to need a lot of luck.
Perhaps there just is no news to announce right now. Perhaps this stock is not your typical average penny stock pumping out PRs whenever they see a chance to instigate a pump and dump in the stock. Perhaps this management is just sticking to doing the real business of growing a company and not caring about every daily sub penny stock price fluctuation. Seriously, what are you saying here? It seems that you are making the point that it would actually be more in the interest of long shareholders for management to just drum up and silly FLUFF news PRs just to time the stock so as to attempt to give extra momentum to the traders. That is ridiculous IMO. In my humble opinion, its about time that this company and this CEO simply act professionally and deliver news only once it is deemed to be appropriate (and in the rear view mirror, not more expectations and promises), having nothing to do with using such news events to game the stock (like most PK stocks). As a loyal long shareholder, I rather respect and appreciate managements tact in this regard and I would rather them do what they are doing which is to not play the game of serving up FLUFF whenever the flippers and day trading playas in the market see it as convenient. By the way, the question becomes, what is of "great value" if it is only to be used on a whim at any time for pumping the stock for flippers sake? If there is great value happening but not yet announced then the sheer existence of that potential is what is risked by flipping the stock; as in, you never know when management will release a game changing bit of news and who knows then how quickly the PPS could jump possibly leaving many behind in the dust. Every investment time horizon and strategy takes risks, there is no magic or best strategy, they all work and they all fail, just a matter of personal decision making prowess and how those decisions fit into each traders mentality and system and how that works against what happens in the markets over time. I have engaged in all strategies over time for many many years and I can tell you, they each have their pros and cons, and I still engage in many various types of investing to this day. Just my 2 cents...
