I don't think it's "case closed" on patents just yet. The lawsuits that were dismissed, yes, but not the patents. And Kay mentioned additional patents soon (hopefully this year). It's up to Congress (SCOTUS doesn't want to touch it again after the mess it created) to do away with the "abstract idea" part of the Alice 101 fiasco which cost us our lawsuits. I'm also guardedly optimistic from what I've read about the bipartisan efforts from Senators Coons and Tillis so far.
