Yes, CTC levels are a secondary endpoint in the trail, but these emergency patients are not part of the trial and have limited time left usually. IMO the primary purpose of the CTC is to show PFS sooner than just imagery and scan results. Even in the mice results, only 2/4 survived when given leronlimab after advanced stages of metastases.
I still would've thought it would be included, but it is still extremely positive that her MRI and scans show reduced or at least no larger size in any of the tumors (per NP reading the notes in yesterday's interview).....and some small lesions even disappeared. In the end, improving the QoL and shrinking tumors at this late stage is most important for these patients…..and I’m not sure what the cost of the CTC test is and how insurance views it for these expanded access patients?
