My broker has currently seem to have applied method 3 (obviously a mistake, but from what I read in a German forum, this has happened for everyone at that broker).
I currently have an extra 1.5 shares per GNBT share in my account (they are restricted, so I cannot sell them, but according to an accompanied written statement, restricted only until today, January 6th). What that tells me is that there seems to be an unmet level of confusion out there about this dividend. I really think that it is time for this to come to an end.
