I am learning on the fly here, and correct me if im wrong. So what your saying is, a bunch of short sellers, got so many shares issued to them at say $8. They sold them thinking the pps would drop, and they could re-buy them cheaper, return the shares they were issued, and make a profit. Instead the pps is soaring and they now have to come up with the shares they were issued. At whatever pps they have to pay and are now getting screwed? I believe that is what you were referring to, for us who are pretty green.
