My first thought is against this due to how quickly it can drop even with buying pressure on some days. But then I recall that the flippers can make the price drop with 3 or 4 small sells when they are gaming the system. So overall I think a buyback makes a lot of sense (and cents and dollars).
A friend who reads the board was told by a financial person that sometimes brokers will make a stock call-in only if they get an unproportionally large percent of the stock owned by their firm. I don't know how to prove or disprove that. A buyback is easier to fathom.
