Maybe 401s have different rules. Also I'm wondering how long ago the transfers were. Was it several years ago?
Y'all can inquire, but I doubt any of them will move pennies now. The way the ET rep explained it....they are allowed to move the positions, but during the transfer process they are somehow exposed to risk that they are not willing to take. I had major ongoing problems with etrade pro quotes and tried to move my UNVC to Schwab until I was blue in the face. I had to stop daytrading big boards because of the problems I had with pro.
I suppose if someone had a large account they were moving over and one or two pennies, that they might do it. Good luck.
