FYI for anyone, like me, that didn't know but UP (ulcerative proctitis) is a mild form of UC (ulcerative colitis) per the internet. UP only occurs in the rectum while UC can occur in the rectum or the colon (large intestine). Crohn's Disease can occur in the colon or the Ileum (small intestines) as well as anywhere else in the GI tract.
I am under the impression that the Brilacidin pill will be aimed at UC conditions in the colon (as well as Crohn's or any other condition in the intestines) while the AS gel/foam will be targeting the UP in the rectum only.
I guess the pill could also work in the rectum but it seems the gel/foam would be more efficient as those products would be in contact with the inflamed tissues of the rectum much longer.
Some have pondered whether K could become a daily pill to help stop cancer before it gets going and I also wonder if B could be taken daily as a type of supplement to keep bacteria from starting in the GI tract to prevent IBD instead of just being used as a post-condition treatment. Also, if one is getting B in the blood thru the pill could it possibly help other conditions, such as dermatology related, eye, ear, nose infections, etc since it would be going throughout the body?
Just a case of thinking out loud.
