So, is the problem that you can't understand the approach or the approach itself?
The approach is, simply, that a message board is largely entertainment, with some newsworthy nuggets thrown in, it's not of major consequence. Whereas, Mark's work is of major consequence and I like to it would be helpful to leave him in peace to better accomplish it.
Here's another, fun, way to look at it. Let's say Mark gets 20 emails a week from investors and it takes him 1 1/2 minutes to read and respond to each, a total of 30 minutes per week. Ok, he makes $375K per year, that's about 7200 a week.
A 30 minute chunk of a 40 hour work week at that rate would be $900 - so we would be paying him $900 a week to deal with these emails.
You can put me on ignore, that seems like a win win.
