Thanks SJ. Now, that makes sense. The BP could have been interested in fatty liver as well, and the upfront payments or the whole deal was conditional on the study. That's why it made sense for the to do it through an independent firm.
It would be interesting to know if this Cleveland firm is affiliated with any BP.
