The question is, WHO's responsibility is it to keep our information safe? Is it the Hotel while I'm staying there? Is it Amtrak while I am on the Train? Is it the City while I'm using a Hot spot? Is it Macy's while I'm shopping? Is it Starbucks while I'm drinking Coffee? They are all providing the free WiFi to us which we pay for in higher prices for the goods they provide. All of us have different needs security wise, some of which requires multiple products for different reasons. We cannot expect the businesses to furnish all these different security programs and charge for them when everyone does not need each and everyone. To do so would be cost prohibitive or make the cost of a cup of coffee a lot more.
