Beasley was taking about retail investors selling now. In reality, no one knows who is selling. However if you expect to get double the shares, but get a price cut in half, then whatnot the incentive to hold to some investors. Now if this works they way it should and we get double the shares, but the price does NOT get cut in half, then they are foolish to sell. But it looks like the market maker is going to cut the price in half since that is what they did on the charts on 10/29, the day the dividend was to happen before the delay. This is why I say you need to be more involved with making sure the market makers know what is happening.
