I believe they previously agreed to the terms of the agreement as outlined within the NBA (that's why they have an NBA), so I'd be surprised if there were post-NBA negotiations still going on. It's usually the attorneys working through the T&Cs at this late stage, and I suspect NP said it may be a "few" weeks because it's out of his hands at this point. I also suspect the deal is probably done and now they just need to finalize the contract language. Unfortunately that can take days or weeks, so NP is probably saying "a few weeks" to play it safe this time. Keep in mind the BOD for both parties have to agree on it before it's considered final, and a BOD's usually meets once a month.
