My favorite from back home was strawberry shortcake, puts a smile on my face just thinking about it. Unfortunately I lost mom to cancer when I was in my early 20s. Pineapple upside down gets a thumbs up too. Got granny's old recipes, they read like, three hands full of this and two pinches of that. Granny made the best blackberry coffee cake, cooked on those old wood fired stoves. Very distant memory, I was a little sheet back then, also remember one hog butchering , my job was to clean the intestines for sausage casings, pretty gross , kinda like castrating baby pigs.
