Here we go again -- more money down the failed theory rat hole.
Cause and effect confused once again -- because there is a correlation between the magnitude of tau deposition and Alzheimer's, it's assumed that tau is the CAUSE and not the RESULT of Alzheimer's.
AVXL's stuff had better work to at least some extent -- to demonstrate that the amyloid and tau theories are wrong -- or there will not be any kind of effective treatment in our lifetimes. Money will still go into testing drugs that don't work on the cause, whatever it may be.
