Yes, it will work but the resulting product would be held to the same standards as the legacy test strips that ISO and the FDA have adopted so it might take 2-3 years for the testing and the patenting to bring it to market. The squeeze bottle filled with the liquid would be good, IMO, for 250 tests, 90 days for a typical Type 2 diabetic, and sell for, IMO, $79.95. The test strips would be sold for something like $19.99 for a box of 250, each test strip individually wrapped. The meters would be given away.
The cost per month per diabetic would be around $33.33. The liquid in the squeeze bottle would become like a magic elixir. It would be wasted, spilled, squeezed all over the place and would be replaced .... ching, ching. How do you say ching, ching in German?
