It is a raise but objective is likely not for the full $10mm. That’s not NP’s style. I bet it’s just enough for the company to get to this 6 week deadline to try and close the deal. I fully believe that NP is betting on the ability to close this deal in the next two weeks. However, the question remains whether it will actually close and how much the he is betting that it does...
My fear is that NP has put all eggs in this one basket. He is so sure that the deal will close that he is willing to over look what a potential raise - no matter how small - will do you SP. If they announce another dilutive on worse terms again next week. Then SP is in the 20’s, which honestly doesn’t matter if he closes the deal the following week. But if the deal doesn’t close and the counter party chooses to take advantage of the leverage they have to get better terms knowing how much the company needs the deal, then I will actually begin to worry about solvency issues.
