Badger, when the MC was running and producing 3 oz p/day that was with a much higher ratio of gold per unit from the pond. So the statement of production was correct. However, who could foresee the torrential rains that fell for 4 solid days and diluted the pond so there was only 1 gram per unit going to the MC from the pond rather than the 4.5 or so at one point. That is what made the running of the MC cost prohibitive. Otherwise the 3 oz p/day would have paid for at least the cost of daily ops.
I did make a post some time ago that I was told the rain wouldn't hurt production and all they needed to do was monitor the chemicals. That was before the full results of so much rain was known. That is the reason I don't like to make any definitive predictions on the process and what's happening at Mexus.
The operation at Elena is going full steam ahead to get the new MC up and running and I can assure you of that. Operating large equipment, building machinery, and keeping the troops at the mine happy is PT's forte. Like evryone, it is my hope that the new MC will bring this puppy into a full state of production and get us on the road to success.
In the meantime, wait, hope, seems to be the mantra-Ha!! Good luck to all. GGB
