When I called Etrade earlier the broker I spoke to was willing to put the buy order in for me but the funds were not transferred from my bank to my Etrade account as I had anticipated.Usually I can transfer funds and they are available to use immediately in my Etrade account Even though some banks are open today the process to transfer funds is not available today. It may have to do with the Federal reserve and the holiday.
The fact that you now have to call Etrade to place the order is different and very interesting. I asked the broker if it was due to up-listing activity and he said he did not know.
