Sorry, QD are considered Inorganic while Oled has Organic as the first word of its name. QMC is in the QDLED game, but not OLED.
In my previous post, you can read Samsung is losing market share to China.
They can't compete. OLED is a high-priced alternative and profitable but will serve a smaller market. Maybe that's why they are switching tactics from earlier this year when they were in the QLED camp.
The new QD displays will be Mini-LED and MicroLED.
Both need superior performance than most QD on the market now.
QDX by QMC could fill that role.
This article from January 2019 shows Samsung saying all the reasons they are in the MicroLED camp and the problems with OLED. I can only think they decided they would be losing money if they continued on their High-Volume, Low-Margin Display Strategy(that forced Nanosys to lower their prices insanely low) and switched to Low-Volume, High-Profit Strategy with OLED.
