Govmint eluding that the problems with SS is due to a bad economy. Maybe a small percentage of the overall. (but ultimately who has the most control over that too....yep, the feds)
The biggest problem with SS is that the govmint has their hand in the till.
I say privatize all SS to IRA's not available for withdrawal until retirement age, and I'll invest the money both "myself and my employers" have contributed to SS. And at the same time keeping it out of reach of DC.
The govmint doesn't contribute a dime to SS, even though they classify it as an "entitlement" AND have their hand in the till.
