The email went to everyone whose emails they had, regardless of if you qualify. As others have said, you can probably lie and get away with it. But I’m not sure I would want to be claiming massive gains on my tax returns on an offering I lied to participate in, regardless of whether or not I could be fired/prosecuted for lying about it.
