This is not entirely accurate. A healthy functioning body produces its own endocannabinoids and all those beautiful cannabinoid receptors in the brain, as part of the wider endocannabinoid system, are wide open and functioning just fine.
Cannabis is strong medicine and it definitely has its place, but the hype surrounding it hasn’t caught up to the reality that a normal, healthy functioning body produces all the cannabinoids it needs, internally.
Think dopamine. Think insulin. Think endorphins. Etc.
