Hi Misiu. I understand what you are saying, but in your example, where no other treatment is working, you would most likely not be like NP and say to the dying patient "Get ready to be excited. This drug stopped metastasis 98% in mice and although we have ZERO human trial information yet, you are going to have a golden year an increase your life expectancy by at least 7 years!"
No, you would explain the mouse models, state that it is HIGHLY experimental, and while we have hopes that this will slow the metastasis, we must, at best, be cautiously optimistic.
Can you imagine the potential lawsuits from the patient's family for causing unrealistic high hopes or failing to warn of potential side effects when we have NO idea how Leronlimab works in human cancer patients? Please know that I believe in Leronlimab, but in order to raise funds consistently, you cannot keep dangling a carrot without giving us a taste now and then of something real.
