Anti-Virus software can only detect Keylogging sofware that they have identified the IP address of. However, Keylogging malware (which is polymorphic) can be loaded and reloaded with with 10's of thousands of IP addresses and instructed to shut down and reboot with a new IP every 10 minutes or every hour or every day, and anti-virus people like Symantec can take weeks to find one old IP. So when they finally get identify an IP and quarantine it, you already have hundreds of newer old discarded IP address. In other words, you must assume you are infected at all times and the only proactive software that can protect you in real time is GuardedID. Anti-virus programs still serve a purpose in that they get rid of the old malicious malware that is slowing down your computer, but it cannot defend you against the newer IP addresses of the malware it has not discovered yet.

The long and short of it is .... You absolutely need GuardedID to protect you in real time. Hope this answers your question.
