Well the F35
is jointly built by many US allies. Several thoughts on that...Selling it lower's it cost and also is a forward supporting combat aircraft even with its troubles.
F16 has had some upgrades. My thoughts on that is that is that the F16 provides a cheaper solution to mainland US defenses.
The 6th generation aircraft will be operated under 5G which is a whole new ballgames. My guess would be the US if the Space Force was made official. They have already taken delivery on 6th generation fighter's with advanced laser weapons and electron warfare weapons. Best guess US military 5G is closed sourced, independent and un-hack-able with both ground and space support. If we have operational space gliders. It would make sense we have operational subspace aircraft.
