Re: Coco Beans #6819
I was thrilled when RP joined the company. I was gutted when he left. In a vacuum, I don't think anyone can argue that CYDY is better off without someone of his expertise involved.
The 7/22 demand letter from RP's counsel to CYDY and the 8/22 complaint filed by RP in DE against CYDY are both concerning, for sure. As you pointed out, though, it's important to remember that they are only one side of the story.
For my part, I am waiting for CYDY's answer to be filed in DE, which will be filed within 30 days of the complaint (i.e., by 9/22 or so). This should shed a lot of light on CYDY's side of the story.
I found it interesting that RP's demand letter talked a lot about the events of late June and July 2019 but nothing about the events of the first 5-6 months of the year. I suspect CYDY's rationale for terminating RP for cause has more to do with the events of that time period rather than the events of June or July.
Time will tell.
In the meantime, welcome to the board.
