I agree that it looks like a no brainer for an ins co to sign. Pricing could be difficult. Product Mangers have always known that pricing is key to a Product's sales & revenue performance. I will provide one example.
Your "little Jimmy" likes to text and drive, so, he will be offered a discount. Reindeers never text and drive - so, they don't get the discount. hmmm Maybe the answer is that everybody gets a discount. Ins co will weigh giving a discount to a driver who wasn't a potential liability from a DD aspect.
Another example would be a business with significant numbers of vehicles/drivers on the road. That company could get a discount on their policy for all of their drivers AND could see an expense reduction AND a reduction in liabilities.
I think pricing and assimilation are the keys for a successful launch.
