This isn't directly Alz-related but I think it's possible that drugs like this eventually might restore some brain function to Alz patients. We know that some forms of dementia that are called (incorrectly) Alzheimer's are actually the result of mini-strokes -- so this is a hopeful direction in dementia research too.
