I know the MM's play games all the time, but 20 shares is hardly worth moving. In a different stock which was added to one of the Russell Funds the MM's went short nearly all the shares needed by the Institution's who needed to hold the shares, when the company was removed from the Russell a year later, the short position was ended. Essentially the MM's created that many shares for the entire year. I don't know that this was completely legal, but I believe it's done far more than small investors realize to work with Institutions.
As a small investor, I believe we can only hope that we're in stocks that large Institutions are looking to move up over time. VXL is certainly under the radar now, but hopefully it won't be forever. If institutions pick up on it once some positive things become public, it could rapidly come off the Grey Market, and no telling how high it could go. A move to the OTC could come rapidly, but if things went well, the Nasdaq should be the ultimate target.
