Talking about studies , my uncle who I was very close with , also physician , diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer , about 10 years ago,
Responded very well initially to chemotherapy , but because cancers was coming back every 7-8 months , each time new chemo was started ,
after 4 years he became resistant to all available chemo , he started to look for some study....
Founded something in Miami Florida , we went there , they gave him some injection , one shot only ,I dont remember what was it , and after 2 days he was in ICU dying ...
he survived only because of how good is medicine in USA ,
but that what is happening with many studies , FDA is very careful with Leronlimab , but is not as careful with many other drugs from BP.
This is at least one reason why doctors and patients are not very comfortable with studies even if they dying otherwise , because they don't want to suffer anymore ...
I know now person dying due to lung cancer , I spoke and explain to family about Leronlimab , but their mother suffer so much with chemo , that at this point she don't want to live and try anything ....
This is why I understand that FDA need to be careful , but what I see they often careful with wrong drugs ..
IMO like always.
