That's strange. The Marcellus shale is still in full boom here in NEPA. A new gas powered 3-turbine double output with steam recovery generator power plant has just finished completion in Jessup PA, 2019. There is a direct gas line from recovery site to this power plant.

A quick search on craigslist here yields the highest paying local jobs are CDL water tanker truck drivers in Tunkhannok.
The railroad tracks where I ride ATVs constantly have rail cars filled with drilling sand heading up the north. I wish they would get out of my way : \
