Fiat , IMO no you are not wrong. I pay to stay at a hotel, especially a popular hotel that offers free WiFi then the least they could do is secure it for me.
Please anyone correct me but Problem is is not just the WiFi itself, it is protection for your personal device, phone, tablet etc.
Should a hotel include a 3-day subscription for free for your protection? It would be a great advertisement! Great PR. Whether they could or would increase a room rate by a few bucks on the backside without customers being aware, just as airline tickets rise 5 dollars and no one seems the wiser is the question.
I’m afraid if it is left up to the consumer the cost of add on subscriptions to your room rate will be limited and small in the beginning. Yes, everyone knows about Identity theft but how many people have their head in the sand mentality thinking it won’t happen to me. An extra $10 tacked onto a three night stay at a hotel seems like pocket change for the security your getting OTOH, Many others will feel just the opposite ...
In short, LOL, yes just tack it to base price and I will never see it but will be 100% protected.
