Good points and thanks for sharing! I definitely need to consider huge spikes (depending on the associated PR that triggers such) as part of my strategy even though I also need to factor in short-term vs. long-term capital gains tax to exit and possibly re-enter if the price re-traces.
I haven't been planning for spikes, even though I fully expect some over the next 6-12 months. I need to think through some of these scenarios and develop a general rule of say spike xxx% equates to a % of position held or something similar. Thanks for the extra homework! : )
