Otezla was approved in 2014 so it has several more years of patent before competitors can try for a generic version.
However -- and I'm just going by memory so I could be wrong -- isn't Otezla less efficacious than some of its competitors? Apparently there is a newer drug that they're working on too which looks super promising. (If you don't mind all the side effects, I mean.)
