Re: Alascantrade #432
We are not quite there yet. Not much time to post lately, but after re-reading that PR from Monday June 03, the company hasn’t actually started leaching yet. They made it sound like they were, with the wording used, throwing “process” in the mix, but they were really only wetting the pad.
Pr Header: “Leaching process started at the Santa Elena mine”
From PR. “Soaking of the heap leach pad is now underway with minimum water to calibrate PH control and solution flow requirements. “
Technically, leaching doesn’t start til the cyanide is applied and according to a post I read on ihub last Friday, that hadn’t started yet.
It could be underway now, or take another week, or two. We are in all probability looking at mid to late July before we see any results. Maybe even August, if there is any tweaking necessary to the chemical mix, or with the MC plant recovery process. If past history is any indication, everything always seems to take a few weeks longer than forecast.
That being said, I don’t mind one bit, if Mexus proves me wrong with the timeline.
