This is what I posted here when the news broke about flu ,West Nile Virus etc , they really should do fast preclinical study , it is not that expensive ..
I believe they will do it , but at the moment they have lot on their plate ..

I also agree agree with you and SJ , that reaction with CCR5 inhibitors and gene modification might be very different ..

Like we know that our patients VL went up during flu and treatment with Leronlimab , but no one was very sick or died ..

And Maraviroc is used for so many years now , we see other side effects but nothing very severe with flu ..,
