I think most VERB investors know the difference between MLM and Direct Sales

I think most VERB investors know the technology works for both

In fact, VERB is not in the business of providing MLM management and compensation software

"AdvoCare recently announced that it was doing away with its network marketing business model and instead shifting to a “direct to consumer” model."

BTW: Direct to consumer is called "Direct Sales"

One search and you can find what is going on

"The planned change will impact Distributors who have participated in the multi-level aspect of the business. Those who currently sell only to customers will not be impacted and there will be no impact on Preferred Customers or retail customers’ ability to purchase products."

This tells me that they are still in the direct selling business, but out of the MLM business

Wonder why multiple companies are talking to Verb about consumer facing apps

Is that the future to ramp down/out the layers of distributors and flatten it for direct sales associate to a customer?

I think that takes away a lot of hassle for these companies

It takes away a lot of cost too

The remaining hurdle is how to you recruit and retain associates

Bonuses?

Maybe. I've been reading up on the OnDoc and Stream Models a lot

There are ways to flatten the organization while still increasing sales

Here's what I know...

New companies will come

Some companies will change

Some companies will get acquired

Some companies will go out of business

One thing is for certain

Most companies need to continuously adapt to stay competitive

Most investors read McKinley's blog

"Compensation plans geared heavily toward enrollment and large buy-in packages are being closely watched."

He basically told everyone how to be successful in Direct Sales

Direct Sales isn't going away

The companies are making million if not billions are not going away

If anything, it's only growing

Those new to this might not realize compensation plans and structures are always evolving

Saw REO last year at a convention. Set my expectations low as it was 5PM before the band members bed time

I put my critical thinking aside and found out it was much better than I anticipated
