I agree with you ,....... Maraviroc was approved many years ago, ( I think 2007 ) and people are not dying with flu here ....
Even if our VL in patients went up during flu , no one died , or had serious problem ....
for such a diseases , not really a big deal..
and now we know what to look for , and how to evaluate this...
And I am also sure we be learning more .....
So I believe that with time we might, if not already , see a difference between patients CCR5 delta32, and the way they changed genes in those 2 Chinese babies reaction to diseases , and they might not compare completely to all CCR5 inhibitors , especially Leronlimab ...
So yes , we might be little blind still , but we know a lot by know , and learning every day about our medicine !!!!
Some small changes makes a big differences ..and until now we doing very well with very difficult diseases !!!!!
