Not sure I understand why people are steadfast in their belief that issuing press releases when share price is taking a tumble is a bad thing. What's wrong with shouting about the good things that are happening to steady the boat?
This is why the field of Investor Relations exists. People are understandably nervous about being down a lot of money and concerned management understands that. This is not Morgan, a situation in which everyone in the world has heard of the company - it seems like we're facing an existential threat, due, in part, to the fact that we're so far under the radar.
That people who are not down can be so smug about the situation is unseemly.
