I think it might be a little hard to determine how much of an effect that writing or calling Congresspeople has on their views or actions. The challenge is to get their eyes on your communications, to get it past their assistants.

I hope it does, a lot, but what definitely works to get them to listen are campaign contributions, even small ones. Your $100 donation will almost assuredly get your issues bumped up a level as even small amounts get their attention. And it could be a good investment for your SFOR stock on the back end.

I've found that attending relatively low cost cocktail fundraising parties can put you face to face with the legislators themselves and maybe even more importantly, their admins. And it's a good situation in which to make a case.
