From time to time we have called FINRA. They will tell you if there is an open file for a company that has filled a 211. We had been calling to see if they possibly would just give a standard answer of  NO OPEN FILE. We were using KMA and MIKP both. After MIKP said they had a 211 signed and sent when we called FINRA they said they HAD and open file on MIKP now. But no file open for KMA. So until we hear FINRA say they have an open file, I would not put much credence in anyone saying otherwise.
