I am trying to understand how you make the correlation that it should have been us instead of them?
We are a cannabis biotech...attempting to develop therapies to treat serious medical disorders.
What Canopy growth acquired is a skin care company that will use the infusion of cbd...in their products...this is OTC...that's not what OW is about.
As Lodge so aptly pointed out...OW is unique in their goals and stands out...
Being just another me too company slinging OTC infused cbd products at the market will get old very quickly...as we are now seeing with companies like BOSQF..The Yield Growth, another Canadian company trying to do this very thing by concentrating on the hemp root and by saying they incorporate Ayurvedic medicine into their products...this is nothing more than marketing bs....I sold that stock ay .72 cents canadian after originally getting in at .21 cents...they put out a press release almost every day of the week each week....trading now in the .50 cent range...
THis is not even close to what OWCP is about and yes the path the company has chosen is a difficult one and will take time and there are many obstacles to overcome...but at the end of the day if they are successful where do you think that would leave the company positioned?
Canopy growth is a huge mj company here in canada ..they are a grower and are trying to create more revenue streams.. so this announcement and acquisition is nothing more than them trying to differentiate themselves from the many other otc companies.. just like the Yield Growth is...and they are failing....as well...Canopy growth is losing millions and is not a profitable company...just like most Cannabis companies right now...
I stand by my investment in OWCP...I know what I invested in...
