AGP......
Many years ago I used to have access to IPOs at H&Q (Hambrecht and Quist). They were a boutique underwriter in SF that was probably nearly the size of the now defunct Bear Stearns.
When they did an underwriting it was always in concert with many other firms...sometimes even the bigs like JPM. As far as I can recall they never did a solo offering unless perhaps it was a small secondary.
The point that I wish to make is that the principal underwriters ALWAYS wrote up a stock analysis after the offering extolling its virtues for retail and brokerage consumption. This would inform brokers and usually acted to support the stock. I assume this was included in the underwriting agreement.
If so....AGP.....ARE YOU LISTENING?
