Aragon, Regarding term sheet termination dates, all term sheets I have seen have included end dates, which could only be extended by mutual agreement of the two parties.

Edit: Written term sheets, necessary in this day and age when few things are done on a handshake basis, will have written dates. There would be no verbal date on a written term sheet.
