You could just use some common sense.Even in "sustainable" seafood harvesting,you let the stocks recover enough before you go back to harvesting.
Traders don't do that nor do they have a clue how they delay any recovery.They are blind and stupid, harvesting something that is still in a recovery stage.
To defend tham IMO is just as bad as defending the NSS'rs.
Get some morals and some scrupples and skip the greed for a change.
