Last month, Vimeo bought Magisto for an estimated $200M
According to Crunchbase, which may be wrong, Magisto had a $4.6M in estimated revenue annually. If that number is right, they got bought for 50x revenue but who knows what the revenue was.
The company had raised $22.5 million from investors including Qualcomm Ventures, SanDisk Ventures, and Horizons Ventures, according to Crunchbase.
Magisto has an estimated 100 million users
Vimeo says it currently has around 90 million users in over 150 countries. For the fourth quarter of 2018, IAC reported that Vimeo grew paying subscribers 9% year over year, to 952,000. Vimeo’s revenue for the period increased 28%, to $44.2 million, with average revenue per user climbing 22%.

On April 1, 2019 Brightcove completed it's acqutision of Ooyala who has 500+ customers for $15M of which $6.25 million was in cash and the rest in Brightcove shares.
Revenue for the first quarter of 2019 was $41.8 million, an increase of 2% compared to $41.2 million for the first quarter of 2018. Subscription and support revenue was $38.9 million, an increase of 3% compared to $37.9 million for the first quarter of 2018.
Net loss was $5.0 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2019. This compares to a net loss of $2.3 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2018.
Free cash flow was negative $927,000 after the company invested $1.2 million in capital expenditures and capitalization of internal-use software during the first quarter of 2019.
Average annual subscription revenue per premium customer was $78,000 in the first quarter of 2019, excluding starter customers who had average annualized revenue of $4,600 per customer. This compares to $75,000 in the comparable period in 2018.
Ended the quarter with 3,696 customers, of which 2,227 were premium.
Second Quarter 2019:
Revenue is expected to be in the range of $45.5 million to $46.0 million, including approximately $2.3 million of professional services revenue.
