Yes, it very telling. Particularly how even the slightest uptick results in the board being swarmed. The majority of the comments are meaningless so there may be some merit in quantity of posts over quality.
I think that at it's core the personality of an alias pretty much reflects who the person really is. Friends, family, co-workers may not see it but it's there.
